Operations in oral and maxillofacial surgery very often require, at least temporarily, a safe inter- maxillary fixation to get a good and reliable occlusion. Up to now neither infections nor irritations of the mucosa have occurred during the clinical use. The biocompatibility of the IMF screws and their atraumatic head allow a short- as well as long-term IMF without problems. The removal of the screws is easily done and saves time.

Additional areas of application are, for example, root fractures and the bracing of teeth that are loose due to a chronic apical process, in addition to the bracing of transplanted teeth. In the area of parodontal bracing, good experience was also made. Excellent indications are the Alveolar process fractures in the upper and lower jaw.
